Bucharest is the capital and the largest city of Romania, as well as the most important industrial and commercial center of the country. The city of Bucharest is located in the southern part of Romania, in the region once known as Wallachia. It is divided into 6 sectors, each of them having multiple quarters. It has excellent connections with the other parts of the country as well as the rest of Europe. The most important and impressive sights of Bucharest include the Old Town, the Victory Avenue, the Palace of the Parliament, the Traditional Village Museum, as well as a wealth of other museums, churches, monuments and parks.
